PTO
Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) was established during the 2013-2014 school year.
The PTO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of parents/guardians, grandparents and teachers of Mead Montessori School whose goal is to foster a nurturing and caring school community that strives to build a better educational environment for our children.
How to continue school growth
Raising Funds
Through fundraising efforts and tax-deductible donations, the PTO is integral in raising funds.
Funds raised assist in classroom expansions, enhancing indoor & outdoor environments, supporting teacher training & continuing education, support teacher appreciation and provide support to our local community.
Fellowship & Community Building Events
PTO consists of an intentional group of Mead parents/families/caregivers, teachers and administrators committed to improving the Mead Community.
The Goal of PTO
Our goal is to better the school for our children through funding: Staff Development, Playground Improvements, Extracurricular Activities, Change for Change Fund, Teacher Appreciation, and more...

How to Join
To join, you simply have to pay a $25 family membership. Once you're apart of PTO, you will have the opportunity to sign up to help on specific projects and/or become a Board Member!

Mead Montessori School is located in South Knoxville near Ijams Nature Center. We follow the lead of Dr. Maria Montessori, a pioneer in child development. We serve children 15 months (toddler), primary (preschool and kindergarten), elementary and middle school (through 8th grade). Please contact us and schedule a school tour.
